After having Darren as my tutor for both Maths Standard and Business Studies throughout my HSC, I truly believe I would not have anywhere near the confidence or understanding of either subjects. Darren puts in copious time, effort and care into his tutoring, always offering help on and off the clock. I always felt supported before my exams, along with after an exam to work through areas of improvement in stressful times in the lead up to trials and HSC. Darren provided a high level of professionalism while remaining extremely approachable, supportive and easy to reach at all times. No matter the time, Darren would always squeeze in a lesson and make sure I felt as prepared as I could. Every lesson I saw improvement. Darren’s approach went above and beyond the efforts of my teachers at school, teaching me not only how to complete questions to attain high marks but also form a concrete understanding of what and why I was learning each topic in both of my subjects. Overall, I have been extremely impressed and satisfied by the level of effort, professionalism and results after having Darren as my tutor. Not only did he provide impeccable attention to my learning style, he made a conscious effort to provide insight into life beyond school and university, assisting with my mindset throughout such stressful times. Along with with this, Darren and Natalie are truly lovely people who really care about each student who comes to them with academic concerns delivering incredible results and confidence for trials, HSC and life beyond HSC.
i came across evolutionary tutors late in year 12 and i had natalie for english, darren for maths, isabella for cafs and sam for visual arts - they are all very understanding and great tutors who will all go out of their way to make sure you understand your subjects' content/syllabus and will construct very organized lesson plans and/or notes for each lesson and make sure that you get the most out of the tutoring sessions! they also provide general advice for exams and check in on your wellbeing before the start of each lesson as well as provide general advice which is always really helpful and kind, and i think that's what makes evolutionary tutors the perfect tutoring service, each lesson is always enjoyable but also productive and they also motivate and cheer you on for exams! each of my tutors for my subjects helped boosted my confidence and skills for the hsc and it was bittersweet after having last lessons with them, but they are amazing and i can't recommend them enough :)

Hey there, I'm Darren, and I'm excited to be a tutor at ET! As the co-owner of the ET, I am committed to providing a warm and friendly environment where our students can learn and grow. I specialise in tutoring High School Maths, Advanced Maths, General Maths and Business Studies.
I graduated from Hurlstone Agricultural High School in 2008, where I had the honour of serving as a school prefect. Later, I pursued a double degree in Civil Engineering and Commerce (Finance) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where I graduated with first-class honours in 2015.
In addition to my academic achievements, I have over 5 years of professional experience as a Senior Consultant for a management consulting firm. During my time at the firm, I was the Undergraduate Program Coordinator, Graduate Program Coordinator, Consultants & Graduate Training Coordinator. In this role, I managed over 50 undergraduates, graduates, consultants, and senior consultants, with a focus on career development and skill development.
I also have over 5 years of tutoring experience, during which I have helped numerous students improve their understanding and performance in maths and business studies.
